On Friday, 24^th November, 2023, the Vice Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria has approved the appointment of new principal officers for the Institute. Those appointed includes;

1. Dr Muhammad Sai’du Tanko from the Veterinary Teaching Hospital (Main Campus) – Deputy Director
2. Dr. Martha O. Otu from the Poultry Research Programme – Assistant Director (Research)
3. Dr. Yunusa Muhammad Ishaku from the Feeds and Nutrition Research Programme – Assistant Director (Extension and Linkages).
